Terms of Use
Effective Date: 02 February 2025
Last Updated: 10 February 2026
These Terms of Use outline the general guidelines for how True Refine Interior PTE. LTD. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) conducts its interior design, renovation, and furniture services in Singapore. They help customers understand our service process and expectations. A separate written contract will apply once a renovation project is confirmed.
1. Scope of Services
True Refine Interior provides interior design consultations, renovation works, custom furniture fabrication, and related services within Singapore. All services are carried out with skill, care, and professionalism in accordance with industry standards.
Specialised works such as architectural design, structural alterations, or regulatory submissions (HDB, MCST, URA) may require third-party professionals. Unless specifically included in your quotation or agreement, such services are excluded and may incur additional costs if later required.
2. Quotations and Acceptance
All quotations and design proposals are based on the information available at the time of assessment. Prices may be revised if site conditions differ or if the scope changes after inspection or design confirmation.
Accepting a quotation indicates your agreement to proceed under these general terms. A detailed contract will subsequently define the specific scope, specifications, materials, and project schedule.
3. Project Schedule and Unforeseen Delays
We aim to complete works within the agreed schedule. However, certain factors may cause unavoidable delays, such as building or MCST approvals, material supply shortages, customs clearance, adverse weather, manpower constraints, or additional works requested by the client.
If any unforeseen event causes delay, we will inform you promptly and adjust the timeline reasonably. While we take all practical measures to minimise disruption, we are not liable for losses resulting from such events beyond our control.
4. Variations and Client-Initiated Changes
Once work has commenced, any request to alter the approved design, layout, or materials will be treated as a variation. Variations may affect both the cost and completion timeline. A revised quotation will be provided, and additional work will proceed only upon written approval.
If a client rejects previously approved materials or products upon delivery or installation due to personal preference, any replacements or reworks will incur additional costs for materials, labour, and logistics.
5. Payments
Payments must be made according to the payment schedule stated in your quotation or agreement. Deposits are non-refundable once preparation or material orders have commenced. Late payments may result in suspension of works until outstanding amounts are cleared. All materials, furniture, and fittings remain the property of True Refine Interior until full payment is received.
6. Quality, Materials, and Workmanship
We uphold high standards of workmanship and material quality. Minor variations in colour, texture, or grain—especially in natural materials like wood, stone, or tiles—are normal and not considered defects.
If workmanship issues arise during or shortly after completion, we will review and, where reasonable, rectify them within the warranty period stated in your contract. The warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or unauthorised modifications.
7. Client Responsibilities
To ensure smooth progress, clients must provide accurate information, timely approvals, and safe access to the site during working hours. The site must be ready for renovation. Clients should not instruct workers directly without consulting the project manager or designer and must secure all necessary approvals where applicable.
Any delay or additional cost caused by lack of access, inaccurate information, or mid-project changes will be the client’s responsibility.
8. Limitation of Liability
While we make every effort to deliver quality work, True Refine Interior is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or opportunity, or for failures resulting from events beyond our control. We are not responsible for the performance of client-supplied materials or for aesthetic differences within acceptable tolerances.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the affected portion of the project.
9. Intellectual Property
All drawings, designs, renderings, and creative materials produced by True Refine Interior remain our intellectual property. Upon full payment, clients receive a limited licence to use the final approved designs solely for their personal renovation project. Reuse or reproduction without written consent is not permitted.
We may photograph completed works for portfolio or marketing purposes unless informed in writing before the start of the project.
10. Personal Data
We handle all personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Information you provide is used only for communication, coordination, and service delivery. For details, please refer to our Data Protection Notice (PDPA) and Privacy Policy.
11. Updates to These Terms
True Refine Interior may update these Terms periodically to reflect operational or legal changes. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will first be resolved in good faith. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
By using our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use.
